Suggested feeding rate based on class of horse:

Birth to Weanling 2 to 3 ounces per day
Weanling to Yearling 4 ounces per day
Yearling to training 6 ounces per day
During training 8 ounces per day
Idle (Maintenance/Non-training) 4 ounces per day

Mares
Gestation 8 ounces per day
Lactation 8 ounces per day
Open Mares 4 ounces per day

Stallions
Breeding Season 8 ounces per day
Idle (Maintenance/Non-Breeding) 4 ounces per day

For Miniature Horses, feed at 25% of appropriate rate.
For Draft Horses, feed at 125% of appropriate rate.
